Pentawards - Worldwide packaging design competition - 2008
End of 2007, the prestigious Pentawards have awarded P'Référence design agency for its realisations with Sleever International, with the collectors on Lorina's lemonade range.To boost sales of its traditional Lorina lemonade brand, Geyer has produced a 3-bottle limited edition in three different flavors (plain, lemon and violet).
The challenge was to decorate the glass bottles that are an integral feature of Lorina’s up-market positioning and maintain the traditional codes, whilst providing a fun, collectible element that would differentiate the brand. Geyer called upon the P’Référence Design Agency to customize this limited edition. P’Référence naturally turned to Sleever International, knowing its technology could meet this challenge.
With a shrink rate of over 50%, Sleever International developed sleeves whose particularly eye-catching finish called upon 6-color gravure printing. All three references are already a high-profile feature of supermarket shelves. A guaranteed collectible effect!
The jury particulary appreciated the design of the limited edition and its impact with the 3 perfumes of lemonade, using a helio engraving technology with 6 colours.

PLGA Global Award for 'Excellence in Printing' - 2008
End of February, PLGA Global has awarded Sleever International for its 'Excellence in Printing' on the Thierry Mugler's collector on Suze (a brand of Pernod). The Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global (PLGA Global) is the leading packaging, label, and product printing/converting educational association for promoting the gravure printing process and educating its target audiences. It is a printer/converter run organization providing the printer/converter as well as the packaging, label and product buyer/user with information on the latest technology and operating systems available to improve pre-press and pressroom efficiency and product quality.
Today, PLGA Global has more than 120 converter and supplier members.
The jury particulary appreciated the design of the collector and its impact thanks to the 'Excellence in Printing', using a helio engraving technology with 10 colours and a mirror effect on the brand name.

Travel Retail Awards : TFWA World Exhibition - 2008
The inaugural Drinks International Travel Retail Awards honours a business, which continues to have a bright future. Best International Drinks launch at the TFWA World Exhibition winner (product launched end of 2007) : Piper-Heidsieck Rosé Sauvage, by Viktor & Rolf.
Drinks International magazine reports in its last issue, that 'a collaborative effort with famous Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf, the upside-down bottle of Rosé Sauvage is cleverly and skilfully realised, as are the accompanying ice bucket and flutes. [...] This was a fun product with great gift potential'.

ABRE - 2007
In September, Abre (the Brazilian Packaging Association) has awarded a prestigious price to Sleever International for the collector for the 160th anniversary of the YPIOCA cachaça.For this special event, YPIOCA wanted a to compel immediate and unquestionable recognition at the very top of the range in the world of cachaças. The bottle is completely covered by SLEEVER® in an intense black, the gold text results from specific ink pigments.
The jury particulary appreciated the design of the collector and its impact, and the technical performance in terms of shape constraints.

Embanews - 2007
In May, the Brazilian Embanews magazine has awarded a prestigious prize to Sleever International for the Coca-Cola Soccer Ball packaging. Last Christmas, Coca-Cola brought out two collectible bottles whose spherical shape was reminiscent of a football.Sleever International produced the sleeve for these two collectibles whose shrink factor was over 60% offering a perfect finish. This challenge required a SI-OPS-TF / 050 film which was printed with 10-colors helio-engraving (including silver and gold).
Embanews paid tribute to the high quality of the result, both in terms of reproduction of the image and the shrinkage, the accuracy of the sleeve’s position and the decoration carried out by Decosleeve.

Embanews - 2007
In May, the Brazilian Embanews magazine has awarded a prestigious prize to Sleever International for the Bazzar packaging. The famous restaurant chain Bazzar in Rio de Janeiro wanted to offer its customers the chance of using its famous sauce for Bazzar ice creams in their own homes. Three flavours were produced in three complex packaging shapes by high-quality sleeves made by Sleever International. The need for a perfect finish meant that a PVC film could not be used.
Sleever International thus created a perfect sleeve decorated with 8-colour helio-printing by using a SI-OPS-TF / 050 film. Decosleeve was entrusted with the positioning of the sleeve.

The 3D motif can be combined thanks to developments by Sleever Labels with a new bespoke helio-engraving printing technique in 8 to 9 colours and highly accurate positioning (3/10ths mm) to reproduce the subtle effects of luxury leathers.

Président, number one Camembert brand of the Lactalis group, launched a new packaging in total contrast to market trends in the form of a miniature cheese cover, thereby surpassing the competition and consolidating the brand’s market leadership. The new packaging features a dome and a base, both of which are protected by Sleevercap®, designed by Sleever International. Ringier Technology Innovation Award - 2007
In July in China, Ringier Trade Publishing has recognized Sleever International as winner of of "Ringier Technology Innovation Awards 2007" in food industry for Sleever products & innovation. In November, the World Packaging Organisation has awarded a prestigious prize for the food sector to Sleever International for the Bazzar packaging. The World Packaging Organisation is a not for profit, non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes, regional packaging federations and other interested parties including individuals, corporations and trade associations.
WorldStars are presented only to those packages which, having already won recognition in a national competition, are compared by an expert panel of judges to similar packages from around the world. Awards are based on the judges' consensus that a package is superior in its own right, and better in its class in execution or innovation by comparison. WorldStars 2007 attracted some 291 entries from 32 countries.

Oscar de l'Emballage - 2006
End of November : Sleever International® received an Oscar de l'Emballage for Sleever braille. In fact, since January 2006, a new European Directive (2004/27/CE) makes Braille characters mandatory on all new pharmaceutical packaging. Sleever International worked on developing a marking technology that would guarantee the presence of characters, their compliance and durability over time on the basis of various abrasion, durability and tracking tests.
Sleever Braille was applied on the range of Betadine products, property of Meda.

Prestige Pro Helio - 2006
In November, Sleever International received an award from Pro Helio, an organisation dedicated to the promotion of rotogravure printing, for its realization on the bottle of Dita, with the lastest generation of Sleever®solution : the Mirror Sleever.The Mirror Sleever is a roto-engraving transformation technology, based on the use of cutting-edge metallic varnishes. Its special grade means that the mirror effects is perfectly maintened during the steam shrink phase. The Mirror Sleever was applied on a bottle of Dita for Pernod company, with a design signed by Nathalie Rykiel for the Japanese market.

3 Bottled Water World Design Awards - 2005
In September 2005, Icelandic water received two Bottled Water Design Awards at the Global Bottled Water Congress in Dubai, for “best overall concept” and “best label”, while Blu, the sparkling water from the Oasis Water Company received the best “PET Bottle design award”.
