Sleever, partner of the Packaging & Machinery Symposium: ‘Together, Let’s Accelerate the Transition!’

Event placed under the high patronage of the Ministry delegate for Industry, this digital symposium organized by SYMOP Packaging and the National Packaging Council brought together, for the first time in a joint event, all stakeholders in the packaging life cycle. They presented their strategies related to sustainable development and the promotion of the circular economy.

Mr. Eric FRESNEL, President of Sleever and the Packaging Machinery group within SYMOP, participated in a roundtable alongside ANIA, CNE, and ADEME.

The objectives of this symposium were achieved, with more than 200 participants gathering at the Ministry of Economy and Finance:

• Bring together and unite all key players to create a collaborative dynamic, including agencies and eco-organizations responsible for ecological transition (ANIA, CITEO, ADEME…), market leaders (Coca-Cola, Lactalis, L’Oréal), and representatives of the Packaging & Machinery sectors (CNE, SYMOP).
• Identify projects involving industrial players in the sector and broaden cooperation among them:
  • The Holygrail project will make France one of the leading countries in the integration of digital watermarks into packaging.
  • A Machinery reference framework to achieve our climate ambitions.
• Enable the necessary appropriation and coordination of actors and European best practices on the subject.
